Aguiar-Curry offers resolution supporting bill to limit nuclear authority

WINTERS — Assemblywoman Cecilia Aguiar-Curry has introduced a joint resolution in support of a congressional bill that would limit the president’s authority to use nuclear weapons against enemies.

“A nuclear holocaust isn’t Twitter, Mr. President. You can’t fire away and then hit the delete button after taking things too far,” Aguiar-Curry, D-Winters, said in a statement released Tuesday to time with President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.
