(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry (D-Winters), Assemblymember David Chiu (D-San Francisco), Chair of the Assembly Committee on Housing and Community Development, Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) and affordable housing advocates gathered at an affordable housing facility near the State Capitol to push for solutions to the housing affordability crisis. Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry reminded everyone that the housing issue is not just an urban problem. She has authored ACR 4 as one way to attack the housing crisis. “ACA 4 would reduce the local vote threshold for approval of bond and special tax measures from two-thirds to 55% putting housing and infrastructure projects on par with school proposals, so that cities, counties, and special districts have a practical financing tool to address community needs.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
