SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry (D-Winters) adjourned in the memory of Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona. Natalie was just 22 years old when she was shot and killed on the evening of January 10th, while performing her duties as a rookie Davis Police Officer at a routine traffic stop. She is survived by her parents, Merced and Lupe Corona, and her sisters Jackie, Cathy, and Cindy of Arbuckle, CA, where she was born and raised.
“Her commitment to service was only exceeded by the love for her big Colusa family,” said Aguiar-Curry. “Every person I’ve spoken with during the past few days has said Natalie was meant for great things. One of her colleagues said this rookie would have been the chief someday.”
